Mate Bake

Mushroom, chicken and cheese with a chip topping make this mate bake a treat for the kids.

Ingredients:

•  800 ml water
•  500 g chicken breast, cooked and shredded
•  1 x 25 g packet chicken flavoured crisps
•  1 box Knorr Chicken Mate - lotsa cheese
•  2 eggs, lightly beaten
•  60 ml grated Cheddar 

Instructions:

1. Place the water in a saucepan, add the seasoning sachet and pasta and bring to the boil, then simmer for 15 min
2. Add the shredded chicken breast and allow to cool a little before stirring in the beaten eggs
3. Place the mixture into a greased loaf pan, then bake at 180°C for 20-30 min until firm
4. Turn out onto an ovenproof serving platter
5. Press chips over the top
6. Sprinkle with cheese and return to the oven until cheese melts (4-5 min)
7. Cut into thick slices and serve with a chunky garden salad
